Sierra Leone Will Unfortunately Not Be A Part Of WAFU Cup Of Nations


We have the Sierra Leone latest news today as we know that Sierra Leone will not be a part of WAFU Cup of Nations. The match is expected to be held in September 2019.
Sierra Leone has been eliminated by Nigeria in the last edition following a 2-0 defeat in Ghana in the preliminary round.
As we know Sierra Leone was suspended in Fifa, the Football Officials have not included them in the WAFU Cup of Nations.
Blazing news is that for the very first time, a North African Nation; Morocco will be a part of the tournament and Atlas Lions will be competing against Liberia.
All the matches will take place in the city of Thies at the Stade Lat Dior stadium on 28th September 2019.
Defending Champions Ghana will take on The Gambia on the very same day; 28th September 2019.
This year, each team will play a minimum of two matches; there will be no groups this the year says WAFU.
There will be two games each day before 2nd October, which will be a rest day. Then there will be the final tournament on 13th October 2019.

It was a great victory for the Scarborough players with 3-1. However, a consolation goal for the viewers was scored by Mississauga’s Morgan Copeland at 86th minutes. The score was 3-1 before the final whistle.
Trye addressed that we were happy after the final whistle and it was good to see them on the winning side. Since the last two finals were lost by Scarborough, Trye believes that this is a new season for them to go one step further.
